SDN (Specially Designated Nationals)
A key OFAC list covering individuals and entities subject to blocking sanctions under US programs.
Definition
The SDN list is one of OFAC’s most widely used sanctions sources. A match can require blocking property and prohibiting dealings, depending on the jurisdiction and the nature of the match. Screening programs typically track list update times and maintain an audit trail of decisions.
