Definition

OFAC publishes and maintains multiple programs and lists (for example, SDN and non-SDN lists). Companies subject to US jurisdiction often screen customers and transactions for OFAC-related matches, and maintain procedures to handle potential hits (escalation, blocking/rejecting, reporting, record retention).
